Skin Cancer (Nonmelanoma)
Prevention, detection and treatment of various types of skin cancer
Types of skin cancer are named for certain types of skin cells to mutate by UV exposure or natural decay, and begin to reproduce and wrong, cancer tumors.
Different types of skin cells of different layers of the skin. The most common types of cancer are formed in the squamous cells, basal cells and melanocytes and is the basal or squamous cell carcinoma or melanoma. Squamous cells are the topmost layer of the epidermis, round, flat cells that form the surface of the skin. In the basal cells that form the rest of the epidermis, dermis and epidermis and between the melanocytes, the pigment cells of the skin.
For the treatment of skin cancer is divided into two main groups. These are melanoma and melanoma. Melanoma is the most dangerous form of skin cancer, and the most common forms of nonmelanoma skin cancer are basal and squamous cell carcinoma. There are other, rarer forms of skin cancer, which fall under the category of non-melanoma.
Most methods of prevention are the same for both melanoma and non-melanoma carcinomas of the skin. Overexposure to UV radiation is a major risk factor, and the sun should be avoided during peak hours at lunchtime. Protective clothing, or alternatively, sun cream, if you were to be worn in the sun, even under light cloud cover. Even one blistering sunburn is a risk factor for skin cancer. Solariums are a particular risk factor for melanoma, even with minimal use, so you should not do to take advantage of their use. If you are still on the light brown, what the sun is healthier because melanoma is the most dangerous form of cancer
Non-melanoma skin cancer can be difficult to see anything because it’s like a rash, sore throat or a knot that will not heal properly can look. These irregularities should be examined by a doctor, if it is established, and you should regularly check your skin, the scalp and hard to reach places, such as skin cancer is usually painless. In most cases, it seems, on the face or exposed body parts, the so
Melanoma often appears as a mole-like growth, and existing moles can develop into melanoma. Moles or nevi are common benign growths that develop from melanocytes. If you have an unusually high number of nevi, dysplastic nevi, or moles or more irregular in shape, you should take special care to verify changes. A change in color, size, shape, or the skin around a mole may indicate melanoma.
Both melanoma and cancers of non-melanoma skin should be treated as soon as possible to prevent metastasis. Even in the early stages of development, particularly with melanoma, your doctor may need to nearby lymph nodes, such as skin cancer tends to spread through the lymphatic system to remove. In the early stages of an operation can remove a skin cancer, although suffering from melanoma, sometimes enough to meet the surrounding tissue, so that the skin graft is required. If you need additional tumors in the form of other parts of the body by metastasis, chemotherapy and additional surgery may be necessary. This is a particularly serious if the melanoma spreads.
Different types of skin cancer have a slightly different look and different treatments, but early detection is the key to effective treatment of all forms of skin cancer.
